Studio Etiquette
Please review the following to be prepared and get the most from your classes:
Arrive Early! 5-10mins so all classes can start on time.
Fuel up! Please have a nutritious snack before class.
Stay Hydrated. Please bring your own water bottle.
No cell phones in studio.
Please wait in the waiting room prior to your class.
Hair up and out of your face for all classes.
What to wear
Ballet attire is encouraged for all ballet students. Leotard, Ballet slippers and tights. In lue of The above, a form fitting outfit.
Grooves/Contemporary/tap students should wear stretchy comfortable clothing they can move freely in.
Grooves/Choreography students are required to have CLEAN indoor shoes. (Did you see us say CLEAN? Please consider having a pair of shoes dedicated to class!)
Tap students are required to have tap shoes. Dance Umbrella has a limited number of tap shoes available for use and we can help you source shoes if we don’t have some that fit.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of our dancers is our first priority and we are committed to following the safety measures as laid out by the provincial health officer, WorkSafeBC, and the Ministry of Health
Stay home if you have any of the following symptoms; fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, running nose/nasal congestion, headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, loss of appetite or difficulty breathing.
Please sanitize or wash your hands upon arrival the studio.
No food/snacks are permitted in studio to help maintain cleanliness.
Please note that we are implementing all cleaning and sanitizing guidelines recommended by Provincial Health Officer, WorkSafeBC, and the Ministry of Health.
